The weather has picked up a bit in northeast Scotland so I have been able to get out and make some timelapse sequences. My first one was in the Cairngorms at a small town called Braemar. I wanted to catch the flowering heather in one of the valleys. The Linn of Dee is a beautiful place with a couple of good view points and also I can get down to the River Dee for a close up sequence. I used my Dynamic Perception Stage 1 track set up (see the photo from a view point site). I also made sequences this week of; sunset at the top of Bennachie, Portsoy, Whitehills and Crovie. Obviously when I am at the top of a mountain I use the simplest and lightest setup. For Bennachie I just used a tripod (see photo) and my ipad using the qDslrdashboard software (it still felt heavy on the way up). I hope to have a new timelapse movie on Vimeo next week with these sequences.
