This is my first timelapse video from my visit to Sardenia and still to come (I hope) are Bosa, Caglieri and Ulassai. Aghero was a bit tricky because the sky was heavy with clouds for most of time I was there. As a result the skies are pretty boring but that just means you have to be a bit more creative to make the best of the situation. Fortunately the capabilities of Lightroom can help mitigate the low contrast and washed out photos. For the bramping situations (sunrise/sunset) the "qDslrDashboard" software on my iPad, connected by the camera wifi works great. The main constrain now, for long sequences, are the camera batteries which are getting old and need to be replaced!
Several of the sequences where shot from a high hotel room with an excellent balcony that we had specifically booked for my timelapse sequences. We initially stayed in a B&B called "Summertime" which is owned by Luciano and Guisy who were very friendly and helpful and that’s why the feature in the credits.
One of my lenses (10-14 mm) had a problem where a rubber sealing ring came out of the body and I wasn't able to mount it the camera. This limited my ability to take close up sequences. The lens is currently with Nikon for repair. In hindsight I miss a couple of sequences in the lanes of the old town that were full with people.
